World Class Flying Giant

You are looking at the largest , heaviest-load-lifting helicopter in the world, the Russian MI-27T, Russian Reg. RA-06297. It can lift 44,000 lbs! Originally built to fly long distances and carry great payloads to service remote areas in northern Siberia where there are no roads or railways, this particular unit has been contracted to carry drill rigs and supplies to remote sites in northern Alberta which are normally accessible only during frozen conditions. This is an expensive proposition, $22,500.00/hr, plus fuel at 3,000 liters/hr (660 Imp. Gals.).
