A sight never to be witnessed again, pictured here are eight Douglas A-26 Invaders during a break from fire standby at Manning, Alberta, Canada [FX4]. The Invader was a great fire bomber, but , as the man said, "Time and tide waits for no man..." (or aircraft it seems). The A-26 Invader was retired from service shortly after this picture was taken.
