O Canada!

This is a shot of the North View Road just north of Plaster Rock, New Brunswick. The Red Maple by the road is an old friend, as it has been there as long as I can remember. Every time I see this photo, it is like going home for a few seconds. Red Maple leaves are the only ones that turn really crimson in Fall and were the inspiration for our national symbol. The leaf depicted on the flag of Canada is a stylized version and does not reflect the actual shape of the original.
