DC6 Air to Air

A late evening sun makes for fine golden light. This shot was taken over the North Saskatchewan River about 10 miles east of Drayton Valley, Alberta, on a flight from Rocky Mountain House to Slave Lake, Alberta. The sun was just touching the horizon and we were flying straight into it. The aircraft is a Conair-operated Douglas DC6B, better known as Tanker 449.
