Arctic Pavement

Sometimes when there has been little rainfall during the summer, it becomes difficult to construct access roads in the bush, and this is how it's done. Tank trucks such as this haul load after load of water and soak the ground, or muskeg in this case, until we have what is known as “Arctic Pavement.” Taken near Ft. McMurray, Alberta.
