Desert Giant

I was visiting the east section of what was then Saguaro National Monument near Tucson, Arizona, and took this shot of one of the desert giants. Its arms were large and even and I thought I would try for a low angle silhouette, as if it were lifting those arms to the life-giving Sun. It came out with this wonderful deep blue cast to the photo and turned out better than I planned.
