Snake Pit

Just north of Blue Ridge, Alberta, there is a snake pit in the side of a hill. In the spring after the ground has warmed up, they emerge from their den and, as the photo illustrates, they get really cuddly. As the snakes move around, they make a sound like wind whispering through the grass.
